I have to give Linda Fredericks a 5+ rating at the Martins Pharmacy in Nappanee. My 85 year old mother was in the hospital on Christmas Eve day and was released in the afternoon. We brought her home and dropped off her prescriptions to be filled and were told the pharmacy would close at 4:00 that day. Upon dropping her off my father told me he would go back and pick them up. He was instructed on the closing time. He tucked my mom into bed and decided to sit down for a few minutes before he went into town. He fell sound asleep and didn't wake up until 4:45. He immediately went to the store to find they were closed. The store clerks tried to help but were not allowed to open the pharmacy. They tried contacting the pharmacists several times before they were able to get a hold of Linda Fredericks (one of the pharamists). She was at home in Wakarusa and hearing the story took time out of her Christmas Eve to come back and open up to get my mother her medicine. We had a Christmas miracle because of her. The doctor at the hospital did not want to release my mother but reluctantly decided to do so as long as she took her prescribed medications. Without those we would have had to take her back to the hospital. Thanks to Linda she was able to spend Christmas Eve with her family. Thank you Linda and everyone at Martins that helped. You are all truly a blessing to the Nappanee community!
